On Friday the 1st of February 2019, we hosted our first ever seasonal launch party at Newstead Studios. To say we’re still buzzing from the event is a complete understatement. We sold the event out with 100 guests, something we didn’t think possible in the early stages of planning. The night included our first solo catwalk to showcase JRC’s autumn range, lots of chatting with customers and friends, an earring workshop, plenty of nibbles and beverages and some of Brisbane's biggest names who we had only ever dreamt of meeting

The room was just beaming with positive vibes and laughs and we couldn’t be happier with how the evening panned out.

We have so many people to thank but firstly we would like to thank all of the guests who made the whole night (& in particular, our runway) an absolute hoot! We were blown away by all of the cheering and general merriness during the show. We showcased 15 pieces over 4 prints and each one was received with oohs and ahhs which made us smile from ear to ear. You might even be able to see some sneak peeks in the photos ;

A huge thanks also goes to:

@hair_by_jools who completely choreographed our runway alongside making everyone's hair look fabulous. She’s actually closed her books to new clients as she’s SUPER DOOPER busy but you should definiltey check out her Instagram anyway. She does the best hair and she’s super funny too! #backroomboogie

The night flowed nice and smoothly thanks to @erinwoodhallcelebrant who (turns out) is not only a fabulous wedding celebrant, but also a killer emcee. Plus, she’s just ridiculously fun to have around.

Our runway looked an absolute dream thanks to the beyond fabulous balloon installation by Cady from @fancyschmancyballoonco Cady also creates custom balloons and delivers free of charge to Brisbane! Two of our absolute favourite makeup artists @blushandbangsbeauty and @jlsmakeup. These ladies know a thing or two (let’s be real, they know all of the things) when it comes to makeup and they created some serious perfection on the evening. If you’re looking for a top-shelf, talented MUA who is also a whole heap of  fun, we highly recommend checking these ladies out.

We also have to thank two other small businesses who collaborated with us for our latest Lovers print release. These include the wonderful Clare from @bonmaxie who has made some seriously amazing earring boards to match our Lovers print and Kristy over at @coco.avera for making us some custom all-natural lip balms to include as free gifts on the evening. A huge thanks goes out to the ladies at @dangerousfemales who provided us some of their gorgeous tees for our runway event. If you have not yet heard of this team of absolute LEGENDS who are raising awareness and funds for organisations dedicated to supporting victims of violence and abuse, you absolutely need to check them out and hey, while you’re there- buy a super cute tee whilst also supporting an amazing cause.

Lastly, but certainly not least- a massive thank you also goes out to plant goddess @botanicalsbybella who photographed our evening. You're an absolute gem.
